Massage Therapy services:

Your Ralston Massage Center therapist will design every session to meet your needs whether that is relief of pain, reduction of stress, relaxation or a combination of benefits. Please discuss your requirements and preferences when booking your appointment.

Swedish Massage:

A relaxing massage releasing muscle tension and pain, soothing to the central nervous system promoting mental relaxation and stress reduction. Pressure may be light, medium or firm depending on your preference. Usually a full body massage, more time allows for deeper relaxation.

Therapeutic Massage:

When seeking more complex forms of therapy involving health improvement and rehabilitation consider Therapeutic Massage. TM usually requires a treatment plan for a specific need or area over a specified period of time. Typically, weekly appointments are recommended to insure that the benefits of the techniques used can produce the desired result. Because time is needed for the body to heal and integrate the changes necessary for recovery usually a session or two will not provide the relief you need. Combine your therapeutic massage that addresses specific needs or an area of concern for focused attention with a full body relaxation massage. Choose one or two specific areas for the therapeutic massage. Can be utilized for recent injuries (after 72 hours) as well as chronic conditions.

Deep Tissue Massage:

Applied with fingers, thumbs, forearms, elbows and sometimes specialized massage tools to release deeper muscles and connective tissues. This vigorous massage releases muscle tension and pain. Longer sessions allow therapist to provide a full body massage as well as focus on one or two areas of concern.

Sports Massage:

Received prior to a sporting event or workout to enhance performance or after event or training session to relieve muscle tension and pain from overexertion, soreness and to assist recovery, sports massage relaxes muscles and increases range of motion, reducing potential for injury and enhancing your body’s ability to perform. Use alone or combine your sports massage with a full body relaxation massage.

Chair Massage:

When time is short, choose a chair massage. Therapist can focus on one or two specific areas of concern or apply massage to the full back, shoulders, arms, hands, neck and scalp.

 Reiki:

A hands-on method of energy work, can be added to your massage or scheduled as a stand alone service. This technique is non-invasive and gentle. Used effectively for restoring and balancing life force energy thus promoting healing and personal transformation. Clients remain clothed. Enjoy alone or add to 30 or 60 minute massage session.

JSJ:

Working with your body’s energy using physical touch to help aid your Body’s energy in returning back to balance and once back in balance it can begin to start healing itself naturally. Associated with the origins of Acupuncture, JSJ allows for the use of hands as “jumper cables” to help jump start your body’s energy to find your balance.

LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE THERAPY:

Lymphatic Drainage is a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart. Recommended for Post-Op patients, specific areas are gently manipulated to aid in reduction of swelling and discomfort. Adding a series of lymphatic massages to a patient’s post-op care routines can benefit their recovery.
